What are your thoughts on domain names that don't fit with the site?

Yes, that is something I have been seeing a lot of lately.
It does seem strange to have a title that does not reflect the content. Maybe some were domain names that were taken over by some one else and are just being used for convenience?
I do believe that is the case, people buy the site or domain name and reuse for something else.
Yes quite strange. I do not think that the cost of a Domain is very much money.
However if someone is just starting off and every dollar counts I can understand them doing this.

This depends on just how far detached the domain name is from the content on the site or on the brand. When I look to register domain names, I always make an attempt to match it, plus run it past copyright and trademark searches.
