Title: New Aquarium
Post by: rn-bryan on April 17, 2016, 10:12:27 AM
Hey, It said post anything. :D

So I found a 20 gallon tall aquarium at petsmart for 17$ what a deal.

I decided to create a living jungle topper diorama for the aquarium instead of using a standard (ugly) hood they sell in store.

I've only got some of the base formed so far and I'm documenting my quest in jungle design on my new blog for it,

 http://aquariumjungle.rosenode.com/

This is the post that shows the topper, http://aquariumjungle.rosenode.com/2016/04/13/aquarium-in-progress/   I just bought some paints today and will be starting that process.

Anyone else do fish tank stuff? :D

It sounds like you got a great deal! I would think the glass alone is worth more than that.

Will you have enough weight to keep the Styrofoam from floating up. Or will you be gluing it to the bottom?

It sounds like a great project!

the topper just sits on the rim of the tank as the top, or lid, of the tank. :)

Ahh thanks that makes more sense.  (You can tell that I am not a "Fishy" guy) ;)
