Thanks. We are always quick to slam a bad host so it is only right that we post about a good host as well.

Shinjiru.com is still being helpful and doing the right thing by us.

It is a real pleasure to work with a decent host that seems to care about its customers. Nice one Shinjiru.

General Chat / Cloudflare or not to cloudflare?
December 22, 2015, 08:53:35 PM
http://www.crimeflare.com/

Cloudflare seems to want to pass along personal information, Not good from a organization that promotes  Security.

https://storify.com/sadcrow/cloud

We have had a bad experience with them and it seems that if the request to log into a website takes more than fifteen seconds cloudflare cuts you off and you see a 522 error message, then you have to contact your host to re connect!!

What a load of rubbish to have to go through for what reason??

Thanks Allan. I understand that everyone's needs and expectations are different but it seems the underlying need is for a reliable and responsive host who will assist when needed so we can concentrate on building our various websites.

Shinjiru.com appears to be fulfilling those needs for us and in a polite and friendly manner.  So hopefully we will have a long and mutually beneficial association for many years.

Shared Hosting Reviews / A good host at last.

After having major problems with three hosts that should be avoided like the plague IE.  Webhostinghub, Leaseweb and Red- H ( Paid a bill by CC for euro 48 = $78.51 I was charged over $4,000 )

I have found a host that so far has genuinely helped us and done everything right. I am very happy with them indeed and can recommend them. They are, https://shinjiru.com.my/

The real test of a host is when things go wrong and in our case they have bent over backwards to help us. If anyone is looking for a host then they may like to check them out.

I have no financial interest in them at all I am just a satisfied customer.

Shared Hosting Reviews / Warning about Webhostinghub.
November 30, 2015, 10:35:03 PM
Sorry about not being clear. We had warned webhostinghub that a known scammer and deported sex pervert who we had exposed was lodging invalid and fraudulent DMCA take down requests as he had tried it before.

As it turned out he lodged an invalid claim and committed Perjury to do it,  he gave a fake address, the copyright image was taken in 2009 so was outside the statutes of limitations so his claim was invalid.

We had been given permission to use it by the copyright owner  IE the photographer,  so again he lied saying he has copyright.

It is well  established that in most cases the copyright belongs to the Photographer NOT the subject.

A simple due diligence check by the legal team would have established this.  (surely part of his job I would have thought) or even if we had been asked,  we could have easily shown the claim to be invalid.

If anyone goes with Red-h please keep a close eye on your credit card.
Some of our credit cards that were used for payment were charged large amounts of unauthorized amounts. We had to cancel them and report the fraud.

Shared Hosting Reviews / Warning about Webhostinghub.
November 25, 2015, 07:25:43 PM
After reading some good reviews (How many are posted by them?) we decided to go with Web hosting hub. We found their support staff to be good but limited in what they could do.

They then received an INVALID and fraudulent DMCA take down request which they had been notified of in advance instead of just removing the image and contacting us they totally suspended our account without any warning and would not even allow us to remove the content.

Even when we offered decisive proof that the request was invalid their unethical and unprofessional legal department acted totally wrong and refused to activate us again.
Now despite any or all good things one may read about this unbelievably bad hosting group and their incredibly incompetent legal department it is of no use when your website is suspended and they will not act in accordance with their many boasts about how " the customer comes first"
This seems to me to be false and misleading advertising from this very bad hosting organization.

If anyone is thinking of going with them I suggest you look elsewhere if being up and running is of any importance to you.

General Chat / Hello/Goodbye thread
November 25, 2015, 06:35:39 PM
Thank you Allan.   It is hard to find a reliable host,  as many claim to be the best but there is a lot of false advertising by them.

Webhostinghub are absolutely terrible. Red H is trying to scam people and fraudulently uses their credit card to steal from them.

All we need is a reliable host that will keep us online.

General Chat / Hello/Goodbye thread

Hello everyone good to be here. I am looking for a reliable host that will ignore fake DMCA complaints. all the USA based hosts seem to be afraid to stand up to the fake take down requests.

Any offers?
