Thank you very much. It does suck that we cannot offer more Phoenix, AZ VPSes at this time as they are quite popular. Unfortunately our upstream server provider is out of stock at the moment.

Quick question about BillingServ: does it offer a universal module like Blesta which allows you to connect with unsupported software through MySql?

Must be a registered member. Check.
Must have an advertisement thread in any of the advertisement boards available.  Posted a new offer thread for our new VPS location: http://www.host-hunters.com/threads/holderhost-buffalo-ny-2gb-ram-150gb-raid10-hdd-free-3gb-ram-upgrade.262/
You also need to reply with you name and name of the your hosting company. Sam Hambling & holderhost LTD

Good luck to everyone and thanks BillingServ & Allan! :)

Review of our shared services from Martin @webhostingstuff:

Subject: 5 star service!
- by Martin Berisford of www.savvysavers.org on 22 Apr 2013:

QuoteWell, Holderhost was the first host I've ever paid for a plan from. After hearing reviews from friends who have used their services, I decided to take the plunge and not only run my first ever website but my first ever website on a paid hosting plan. Honestly? It's gone swimmingly. There has been hiccups, don't get me wrong but the customer service has been fantastic. There was one point where my site was continually experiencing errors and as a 'newb', I didn't know what to do, I was still trying to learn cPanel! However, I got on to the owner, Sam and an explanation was swiftly given and the issue swiftly sorted. Since then, my site has been 99.95% error free!
As for the loading speed, I use a lot of images on my page and my page still seems to load very fast. 3.8 secs for a page with 10 50-100KB images on the homepage, amongst images for the style and with 134 requests, from what I know, thats quite good!

Either way, my experience with Hh has been fantastic, I would certainly recommend the service. Sam goes out of his way to ensure you get great service!

Any Questions?

Don't hesitate to PM me or contact us.

Web Hosting Chat / Resellers Hosting

Quote from: "Allan, post: 845, member: 1"Do you think that sometime people stay away from vastly cheaper hosting?

Certainly. There will be people out there who wouldn't purchase a service (such as reseller hosting) that was selling for $9.99 but might purchase the same service if the company upped the price. I remember hearing a business case of a fashion designer who got hardly any sales when he/she sold cheaply through The Warehouse (NZ's version of Walmart but a lot smaller). When they put the price up, they actually got more sales.

Web Hosting Chat / Advice for Beginners

I wouldn't personally recommend HostGator or the EIG brands. Their servers are nice and fast, or were when I had a site hosted there, but not being able to oversell is going to be seriously annoying and it will restrict your profits considerably. I would suggest you check out some of the offers that are posted around and perhaps ask for a trial to check server load and speed.

Web Hosting Chat / What Payment Gateway You Use?

We offer BitPay and PayPal. For us to offer anything else, the fees would have to be similar to PayPal because that's what we base our pricing off of.

Web Hosting Chat / Apache or Ngnix

Our shared server is equipped with cPNginx. I think the graph at the bottom of the page explains why Nginx is such a popular webserver: http://cpnginx.com/.

Web Hosting Chat / Shared hosting or VPS
June 01, 2014, 09:46:32 PM
If you want to dive into the deep end and learn a lot about linux administration then you need a vps. However most people simply want to put up a blog or forum and potentially make a bit of cash. Shared hosting is perfect for the majority of people.

Web Hosting Chat / Resellers Hosting
June 01, 2014, 09:43:32 PM
I feel that they can be an excellent way to start a hosting business and perfect for web developers and webmasters with lots of sites. However it sickens me to see people purchasing and asking for super cheap reseller accounts (I saw a post on LowEndTalk where the person wanted an unlimited master reseller for $2.5/month). If you are planning on selling hosting you should put your clients on reseller with a decent server,  good uptime and support.

Other Software / Xenforo 1.3 Beta

hmm. That reminds me I should probably upgrade the Xenforo board for holderhost. Not that anyone's using it at the moment though.

Support & Suggestions / Mail going to Spam.

Just a suggestion to use Mandrill.com to send your mail via SMTP so that your emails aren't going to my spambox. ;) They allow you to send 12,000 emails a month for free. I use it for holderhost and it works really well if you set it all up properly.
